The Guadeloupe archipelago is part of the Lesser Antilles arc, in the southern Caribbean Sea. Shaped like a butterfly, it pairs the gently rolling island of Grande-Terre, with its long beaches and sugar-cane fields, and the island of Basse-Terre, where the Guadeloupe National Park is home to the Carbet Falls and La Soufri\u00e8re volcano. The smaller islands include Marie-Galante and La D\u00e9sirade. Bouillante lies on Basse-Terre, between Pointe-Noire and Vieux-Habitants. It is best known for the Cousteau Reserve at Malendure, where local operators offer superb snorkelling and diving trips, and where, if you are lucky, you can swim alongside turtles. Bouillante is also famous for its natural hot springs, both on land and in the sea. Nearby you will find the Parc des Mamelles (Guadeloupe’s zoo), the Deshaies Botanical Garden (once owned by the French comedian Coluche), the Maison du Cacao (a cocoa museum in Pointe-Noire), the Domaine de Vanibel (a coffee and vanilla estate in Vieux-Habitants), the famous Bologne rum distillery in Basse-Terre, and the national park’s rainforest, perfect for hiking, abseiling and canyoning. There is plenty to do all around Bouillante.<\/h5>\n

There are two seasons:
\nA dry season, called “car\u00eame”, which runs roughly from December to May;
\nA wet season, called “hivernage”, which runs roughly from June to November.<\/h5>\n
The sea temperature averages 27\u00b0C and rises to 30\u00b0C in August and September.<\/h5>\n
Guadeloupe enjoys a wonderful climate all year round: it is always summer here!<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Grande Anse beach \u2013 Deshaies<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Bois Jolan beach<\/strong><\/h4>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Bois Jolan beach is in Sainte-Anne. With its white sand, coconut palms and turquoise water, it is a dream. Souffleur beach \u2013 Port-Louis<\/strong><\/h4>\n
